James G Brown FIMI, Chairman
Jim founded Selectamark in 1985 and has been a Council member of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) and the Australia and New Zealand Trade Advisory Committee (ANZTAC). Jim is also a member of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI), the Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers (APPSS), the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry (FIMI).
James A Brown, Managing Director
James joined Selectamark in March 2002 having worked for a large Japanese trading house for 4 years, after graduating from Southampton University. James worked in the sales team before being appointed Sales Director in 2007. James is the Chairman of the BSIA’s Asset and Property Marking section, is on the PaS (Police & Security Initiative) Effective Collaboration Working Group, and sits on the ADS Security Export Focus Group. James was appointed Managing Director in May 2014.
Jason Brown ACA, Dip IDM, M IDM, Commercial Director
Jason joined the company in June 2002 as Head of Business Development in charge of new projects and product development. Prior to Selectamark, Jason was Business Planning Manager at Freeserve.com plc for two years where he was involved in strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting for the UK's largest ISP. Jason gained his ACA qualification during his 5 year employment with KPMG in London and Milan.
Stephen Morris, Operations Director
Stephen is a specialist Operations Manager with some 30 years’ experience in operational, business, facilities and project management including business development, new business start-ups and change management. Stephen has a wealth of experience of the security industry, both nationally and internationally, as well as dealing extensively with time critical customer service.
Dave Amos, Sales Manager
After starting his career as a Police Constable within Hertfordshire Constabulary, Dave embarked on a career in sales. In 2014, he joined The UK’s leading volunteering site www.Do-it.org as Commercial Director helping them to achieve their aim of running their service at no cost to the tax-payer. Dave joined Selectamark in December 2015, having previously run successful teams in many of The UK’s leading publishing companies including The Sunday Times, Daily Mail, Trinity Mirror and a variety of Business magazine publishers. Dave now combines running the Selectamark sales team with co-ordinating his local neighbourhood watch.
Millie Quickenden, Marketing Manager
Millie joined Selectamark in April 2015 with over 10 years’ experience in Marketing. Prior to Selectamark, Millie worked at Philips where she worked across various industries including Lighting, Household Kitchen Appliances and Baby Care products. Her various marketing roles have gained her experience across the full marketing mix - including product, NPD, CRM, branding and campaign management. Millie is responsible for the marketing strategy and the execution of our marketing plans at Selectamark.
Eleanor Parker, Head of Forensic Technology
Eleanor started working for Selectamark in September 2015. She gained her PhD in Exercise and Cellular Physiology from the University of Westminster in 2011, having previously earned a BSc in Medical Sciences from the University of Leeds. Her thesis covered a broad range of disciplines from cell biology to imaging and biomechanics. Ellie has been involved in scientific research for over 14 years, both academic and in industry. She recently earned an MSc in Forensic Science from King's College London, where she developed a DNA aptamer for forensic applications in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police.
Nick Roach, Police Liaison
Nick joined the company in January 2013 following his retirement from the Metropolitan Police Service. During his police career, Nick had a wide variety of roles in a number of ranks, ranging from response policing, public order, crime squads, and a specialist vice unit. In his last posting, where he was temporarily promoted to Chief Inspector, he had day-to-day responsibility for all crime reported to the Metropolitan Police by telephone and online. His police career has provided Nick with a unique insight into crime, how it is committed and how it can be prevented.
Nigel Hart, Head of Technical Support
Nigel joined Selectamark at the beginning of 2008. Nigel's experience comes from 5 years working as an engineer on defence contracts, and 14 years of product design and worldwide support/training in the security industry. Nigel is responsible for the design, development and support of new products.
Angela Singleton, Press Officer
Angela looks after all press and PR related material and events for Selectamark. Angela has previously worked in the newsroom at the BBC and as a current affairs programme researcher. She has also worked as a news editor at media firm PR Newswire and as a journalist and editor for the national news agency, the Press Association. She has most recently worked as a journalist and commissioning editor for the London Press Service, which currently produces the news website for the UK Trade and Investment Department.
